Day 1

Arrival at Banadaranaike International Airport. You will be met by your Pearl Holidays UK Guide and be transferred to your hotel Jetwing Blue Negombo where you will receive a welcome drink. 

Your stay will be on a half board basis ( first nights' buffet dinner and buffet breakfast the next day).

You can spend the day at leisure, have a dip in the pool or enjoy the beach. 

You could enjoy the buffet Lunch at a supplementary charge. Please enquire at the hotel reception. If you would like Lunch to be included in your daily package rate, please let us know in advance when making your booking. Buffet Lunch excludes bottled water and any other bottled or canned beverages (Alcoholic or Non Alcoholic).

Time permitting, we will arrange a visit to the local fishing village or enjoy a boat ride on the Negombo Lagoon.

Day 2

After Breakfast you will leave Jetwing Blue Negombo and proceed to Pinnawala where you will visit the  Elephant Orphanage. This visit allows you to watch the elephants have their daily bath in the river, and even feed them with fresh fruit which they absolutely relish.

You will then proceed to Habarana where you will check in to Cinnamon Lodge Habarana. 

After a brief rest you will depart on a cultural tour of Sigiriya, the remnants of an ancient kingdom. It was a royal citadel for 18 years (477-495) when it was fortified by the then King Kasyapa. 

The architectural and irrigational technology introduced to Sigiriya, such as the Water Gardens, still have us all baffled. The climb to the top is via steep steps of metal with railings that pass a wall decorated with frescoes of bare-breasted women of that time. You will then visit the Water Gardens in Sigiriya.

 Upon completing your tour, you will  proceed back to your hotel where you may enjoy a late buffet lunch which is included in your package, but excludes bottled or canned beverages (Alcoholic or Non Alcoholic).

You may spend the afternoon at leisure or by the pool or even engage in any one of our Add on activities. Highlights include Bullock Cart Rides, Hot Air Ballooning and Spa Treatments.

In the evening, you will be taken on safari to the Minneriya National Park, after which you will arrive back at Habarana Lodge to freshen up and enjoy a sumptuous Buffet Dinner which is included in your package, but excludes bottled or canned beverages (Alcoholic or Non Alcoholic).

Day 3

 After Breakfast you will leave Cinnamon Lodge Habarana  for Trincomalee where you will check in to Uga Jungle Beach Trincomalee, where you will stay on half board basis (first nights' buffet dinner and buffet breakfast the next day). 

The trip to Trincomalee from Habarana includes a stop in Ritigala to visit the famous Ritigala Mountain and experience the deep strict nature reserve of sprawling jungle. The covered ruins of this extensive forest monastery takes down the lines of the Indiana Jones, Temple of Doom adventure.

 Ritigala was probably a place of refuge (as long ago as the 4th century BC) and also has mythological status. It’s claimed to be the spot from which Hanuman (the monkey god) leapt to India to tell Rama that he had discovered where Sita was being held by the king of Sri Lanka. 

The story continues as you head to your hotel on the north eastern coastline, which is Sri Lanka’s equivalent to the Maldives, with never ending white sandy beaches, coral islands and shimmering blue seas. The seas are at their best behaviour between the months of March and October. 

 On arrival, you can spend the day and evening at leisure, have a dip in the pool or enjoy the beach. You may also want to indulge in any of our beach Add on activities. Highlights include Dolphin & Whale watching and Spa Treatments. 

You could even enjoy the buffet Lunch at a supplementary charge. Please enquire at the hotel reception. In the evening, we've arranged a visit to  Kosgoda, a nearby fishing village to observe the famous stilt fishermen as the sun sets.

Day 4

After Breakfast you will leave Trinco Blue by Cinnamon and proceed to Yala, where you will check in to Chena Huts Yala, where you will stay on half board basis (first nights' buffet Lunch and buffet Dinner). 

 You can spend the day at leisure, have a dip in the pool or enjoy the beach. You may also want to indulge in any of our beach Add on activities.

You could enjoy the buffet Lunch which is included in your package but excludes bottled water and any other bottled or canned beverages (Alcoholic or Non Alcoholic).

In the evening you will proceed to Yala National Park for an evening safari when it's cooler and most animals come out to the water holes to drink.

After your evening safari, you will be driven back to your hotel for you to unwind at your leisure.

  Buffet Dinner will be served  when you arrive back at your hotel and is included in your package, but excludes bottled water and any other bottled or canned beverages (Alcoholic or Non Alcoholic).

Day 5

After Breakfast you will leave Chena Huts Yala and proceed to Yala National Park for a half day Safari.

 Having enjoyed your safari the previous evening, you will now be ready to get an insight of the wildlife that missed your eye.

 Yala National Park is home to a number of exotic fauna and flora including but not limiting to Sri Lanka’s ‘big three’ – which includes the majestic Sri Lankan elephant, the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, and the charismatic Sloth Bear not forgetting Water buffalo, Crocodiles and a huge array of exotic birds. 

Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will be given a  first hand insight into our local species and their habitat. For a more in depth  wildlife experience,  speak  to your guide who will be more than happy to take you in search of  bird trails.

 You will then be driven to a local restaurant where you can enjoy a typical Sri Lankan lunch of rice and curry. Cost applies, please check the restaurant menu for prices.

You will then be driven back to your hotel where you can spend the rest of the afternoon at Leisure. You may want to simply relax by the pool or beach.

You could also indulge in any of our beach Add on activities if you are still up to it.

 In the evening you will proceed to Kataragama where you will visit the famous Kataragama temple patronised by Sri Lankans of many faiths and have blessings bestowed upon you. You may make an offering of a fruit platter which will be placed at the alter as an offering to the Gods.

Please enquire with the hotel reception on the appropriate dress code when visiting the temple. Photography is  not allowed within the temple premises.  

  Back at the hotel you can unwind and enjoy a delicious Buffet Dinner which  is included in your package, but excludes bottled water and any other bottled or canned beverages (Alcoholic or Non Alcoholic).

Day  6

After Breakfast you will leave Chena Huts Yala and proceed to Bentota, where you will check in to Centara Ceysands Bentota where you will stay on half board basis (first nights' buffet Lunch and buffet Dinner) and  thereafter on full board basis until the day you checkout. Breakfast is included on your last day. 

Centara Ceysands Bentota is a resort well known for catering to the holiday needs of families where there is something for everyone.

With the kids entertained and in safe hands at the inhouse kids club, why not indulge in some me time, a beer or two by the pool or even a stroll on the white sandy beach. You could even enjoy a spa session to unwind and rejuvenate for the evening.

Bentota is famous for it's water sports from water skiing, canoeing, banana boat rides to diving and snorkelling.  Please see our Add on activities page for details. Snorkelling gear is usually available at most of our partner hotels, but do check with the reception on availability.

Day  7

At dawn you will travel to a local fishing village where you can watch the fishermen bring in the nets they had cast the previous night with their haul of the day. 

This is an experience of a lifetime watching them chant and sing harmoniously as they bring in their catch amidst the sea spray brushing against your face and the distinct smell of the sea.

You will then be driven back to your hotel for a hearty buffet breakfast. 

After Breakfast you will have the whole day at leisure. You will visit the famous Brief Gardens after which a river safari along the Madhu Ganga awaits you. If time permits you could also extend your boat ride to have a glimpse of Cinnamon Island.

As lunch time approaches, we will visit a local village where you will enjoy a typical village meal of rice and curry being cooked. You might want to call it a cooking demonstration, but with the difference being that you will be actively involved in the preparation of this feast, which you will then partake in with villagers - Village Style.

As we head back to the hotel, you might just want to relax by the pool or even enjoy a session of spa treatment.

In the evening, a relaxing walk on the beach under the stars as the sound of the waves serenade you, will put you in just the right mood for a delicious Buffet Dinner, but not before a few drinks by the pool. Dinner is included in your package, but excludes bottled water and any other bottled or canned beverages (Alcoholic or Non Alcoholic). 

After a lovely buffet dinner, why not enjoy the live music and some dancing if the mood takes you there.

Day  9

 Here’s your chance to experience it all.

 Don’t forget to indulge in a lovely high tea session at the terrace, the Hetthersett bar or Goatsfell bar.

After Breakfast you will leave Centara Ceysands Hotel Bentota and proceed to the city of Colombo where you will check in to the 5 Star Taj Samudra Hotel. 

  You can spend the morning at leisure, have a dip in the pool or take a walk down to the Galle Face Green which is just opposite the hotel, where you can absorb the glorious sun and sea breeze to your heart's content. 

The Green comes alive during the evenings and you can indulge in most types of Sri Lankan Street Food.

Featured here are the  TUK TUK Safari Rides which  you can use to get you around Colombo. They are exciting to travel in and easy on the purse. Simply tell the driver what you would like to purchase or any particular type of food you would like to have and he will take you there. 

If taking a TUK TUK Safari Ride, we recommend you leave your hotel as early as possible to arrive back at the hotel in time for a delicious buffet Lunch which is included in your package but excludes bottled water and any other bottled or canned beverages (Alcoholic or Non Alcoholic).

Enjoy your afternoon at leisure or go out into the city and do some more shopping.

Alternatively if you fancy awesome Crab, Jumbo Freshwater Lagoon Prawns and other Seafood, a visit to the famous Ministry of Crab will give you a crab fix you will never forget. You can then make it back to your hotel in time for a workout in the gym followed  by a swim in the pool with a few drinks.

 Enjoy your afternoon at leisure.

In the evening you could either enjoy a scrumptious Dinner Buffet at the hotel  or venture out to the Galle Face Green where you can savour all types of Sri Lankan street food.

You can then proceed back to the hotel and after relaxing, enjoy a spot of night life in Colombo. TUK TUK Safari would be an ideal choice of transport where you enjoy Colombo at it's best. You could also check out the local night life like, Pubs, Night Clubs and Casinos.
